A fantastic site for listening

The Department of Spanish & Portuguese, University of Texas at Austin has a fantastic site with lots of resources which include videos in Spanish with transcripts and grammar explanations.  A great resource for all levels.

 

Entrevista sobre Andalucía

 

Acabo de pasar unas vacaciones inolvidables en Andalucía en casa de mis amigos ya que  llevo muchos años sin verles.  Ha sido un placer de verdad quedarme con Mariló y su familia. Era mi compañera de piso cuando yo era estudiante Erasmus en la Universidad de Granada.  Tengo que decir que pasar un año en el extranjero como estudiante Erasmus es uno de los años más bonitos de la vida y estar en la region de Andalucía fue increíble, con la gente acogedora, el clima y la arquitectura islámica impresionante también.

Aquí está una conversación entre Mariló y yo al ir a la estación de autobuses.  ¿A ver cuánta información puedes  sacar de nuestra charla?  El acento andaluz es muy interesante y un poco más difícil pero es un desafío fenomenal para mejorar tu nivel.  ¡Suerte!

Lingro is an excellent site which helps you to translate vocabulary on the site you are using for reading practice.  This is an excellent resource to develop your vocabulary and improve Reading skills.

Practice your Speaking skills

Here is a link to a site which allows to you type your text into the box and select a Spanish voice to say it.  A good way to practice your speaking at home in preparation for your exam.

This is a fantastic resource which has been brought to my attention by Jane Croft.  I am very grateful and I know our pupils could benefit enormously from this.  An excellent resource for developing cultural knowledge of Spanish-speaking countries, as well as reading and listening skills.
